The Nordet circuit is a real jewel of the region, attracting many cycling enthusiasts. Being a circuit removed from the center of Tremblant, most of the traffic comes from cyclists. Located halfway in the Hautes-Laurentides and halfway in the Lanaudière region, this hilly road can offer you the challenge you are looking for.
The road is quite wide and the asphalt is in excellent condition, allowing you to fully enjoy your bike ride.
The loop that we suggest takes you along the Chemin du Nordet (prepare your legs for these hills) and then returns via route 329 to Saint-Donat. This road can be busier (especially on weekends), so be careful!
L'Étalage gourmet market in Lac-Supérieur is a perfect place to start and end your bike ride. The parking lot is large, there are restrooms inside, and the delicatessen contains several options of Snacks for before or after training.
In Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm, the Café Marius is a great place to stop for a coffee break.
Be aware that there is also an IGA just a little further down the main street if you need to stock up on goods.
It is possible to complete this trip clockwise or counterclockwise and have a totally different experience.
The Clockwise version will get your legs hot from the start with very intense climbs, but the rest of the route will be easier with a negative altitude difference.
By making the journey in the Counterclockwise direction, the majority of the course will be with a gradual positive altitude difference. It's up to you to choose what you prefer according to your physical form and the consensus of the group!
