This excursion is the perfect opportunity to discover the charms of the Eastern Townships region, renowned for its hilly landscapes and country backroads. Cute villages, single track climbs, farmhouses, charming vineyards and orchards, panoramic views and an 18% climb await you.
The starting point we suggest is the Bromont National Cycling Center (BNCC) which is located at 400 Shefford Street in Bromont. The center offers visitor facilities including parking areas, restrooms, picnic areas, an outdoor pump track, and even a resto-bar section.
You could also park at the Royal Bromont Golf Club or at the Parc des Morilles, both near the first suggested option. We also recommend the Pittstop Vélo-Café. Large parking, shop and mechanical service, station to wash your bike, picnic tables, a dining room and café... Everything is there to start or end your trip on the right note.
It is suggested to start quite early in the morning in order to enjoy the calm and misty views of Lac-Brome. If it ever rains, be prepared for muddy and slippery sections. It is therefore preferable to have wider tires (at least 700x32). In addition, since some sections are covered by trees, the perceived temperature varies a lot. A thin vest is recommended.
